The Why

Bottom line: stigma is a b****.

Especially in the world of mental health, people often feel shame seeking treatment for something as common as anxiety or depression. Our goal at HELD is to help change the way we feel toward medication management. We believe the same ease and pride we feel taking our daily vitamins should be applied to all pills, prescription or otherwise.

We deserve better than see-through plastic organizers with the HUGE font. No matter your health needs, self-care should feel good and do good, too.

The How

Every aspect of HELD is carefully and thoughtfully selected.

From our suppliers to our manufacturers, we specifically chose to support small US businesses with our same agendas at heart.

  • SUSTAINABILITY

No greenwashing here. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on Earth, and our supplier is right here in the USA. We hand seal our boxes with natural hemp oil for long-lasting protection — they should last you years, if not decades! We manufacture our organizers and accessories locally, minimizing shipping waste and transit. Even our free swag is made of deadstock canvas!

  • TRANSPARENCY

Take a look at a few of our partners! We know you'll love them as much as we do.

  • COMMITMENT

Were holding ourselves accountable: to start, we've joined 1% For The Planet, contributing at least one percent of our annual revenue to environmental causes. Further, HELD will embark on a B-corp certification process, which will keep us on track year to year.

The Who

OUR FOUNDER

Sam aberman, mba (she/her)

Sam's own journey with mental health treatment was the impetus for HELD! She was so frustrated with the disconnect: why were so many people with the same struggles suffering alone?

Her hope is to get people talking and feeling less shame toward the things we use to care for ourselves. And honestly, she couldn't handle seeing her favorite people travel with plastic baggies to store pills anymore.
